here are also destination to destination tickets that could be more economical if you are traveling to a specific location. On these tickets, you can get off and on as long as you are traveling in the same direction between the two destinations. You validate train tickets on the platform of your departure city (probably Cannes) and the one where you start your return (your destination). It's that stamp that identifies the direction of your travel. On a Carte Isabel you can travel every which way. On the destination ticket, you can but a ticket to Nice and stop in Antibes, but you couldn't travel to Villefranche. To travel to Villefranche, you need a ticket to VF, but you can still stop in Nice and Antibes as long as you continue in the same direction, visiting the towns in the order they fall from the latest stamp on your ticket. In other words, you can do VF>Nice>Antibes>Cannes, but not VF>Antibes>Nice>Cannes. Compare prices when you get to a train station and make your decision about which ticket/pass from there.
