joy barma I saw how much makeup you still had on your cotton ball after cleansing. You shouldn't have anything on the cotton ball if you're getting your face thoroughly clean. Your baby wash may be gentle, but it's obviously too gentle to emulsify and remove the sunscreen/makeup you put on during the day. I always do a 'pre-cleanse' to remove my makeup before I use my regular cleanser. I've been using Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for 25 years. That's how much I love it!! I apply it to DRY skin and rinse with warm water once it has dissolved all my face, eye makeup. I then follow up with my regular cleanser. When I use my toner, I don't see anything on the cotton pad! Make sure to really work the cleansers into your skin well and then thoroughly rinse. Another option would be a Micellar cleansing water, like Bioderma. A lot of people seem to like these. You can use them to remove face makeup and eye makeup. Garnier is a good one that a lot of people say is comparable to the Bioderma. It's finally available in the U.S. and Canada! Anyway, I just wanted to suggest trying a different cleanser to remove your makeup. |
